✅ Research Participating Employers
Check the job fair listing at www.tularecountyjobs.com or ask an Employment Connection staff member for a preview of attending employers. Make a list of 5–8 you want to talk to.
✅ Dress Professionally
Wear clean, job-appropriate clothing. Business casual is a safe bet unless the job requires specific attire.
✅ Bring the Essentials
Multiple copies of your resume
A notepad and pen
A folder or portfolio to hold materials
Breath mints or water for a quick refresh
✅ Arrive Early
Give yourself time to get comfortable, scan the room, and get in line before it gets busy.
✅ Speak with Confidence
Smile and make eye contact
Offer a firm but friendly handshake
Speak clearly and ask thoughtful questions
✅ Take Notes
Write down employer names, job openings, and key details so you can follow up later.
✅ Follow Up
Send a short thank-you email or message to any employer you connected with. Mention something specific you discussed and express your interest in the position.
